Way2Sign ("we", "our", or "us") is a free, browser-based document signing tool. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our application at way2sign.com.
Our core principle is zero-trust privacy: your documents are processed entirely within your browser and are never uploaded to our servers.
Document Processing
All document signing, form filling, and PDF compilation happens locally in your web browser using JavaScript. Your documents never leave your device. We have no access to the content of the files you open, sign, or download through Way2Sign.
This local processing model means:
- Your documents are not uploaded to any server.
- We cannot read, view, or access your document content.
- No document data is stored on our infrastructure.
- All processing is reversed when you close the browser tab.
Information We Collect
We may collect limited information when you interact with certain features of Way2Sign:
Feedback Submissions
When you submit feedback through our feedback form, we collect the information you provide, including your name (optional), email address (optional), and message. This data is stored in our database to help us improve the product.
Account Data (Signed-In Users)
If you choose to sign in, we store your "My Info" presets (name, email, etc.) and placed overlay history in your personal Firestore document. This data is tied to your account and is only accessible by you.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how Way2Sign is used. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users or document content.
Cookies and Local Storage
Way2Sign uses browser local storage to save your preferences (such as session style settings and dismissed notifications). This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase (Google): Used for user authentication and optional data storage (My Info presets, overlay history). Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel: Hosting provider for way2sign.com.
Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect the limited data we do collect. However, since the vast majority of your document processing happens locally in your browser, the primary security of your documents depends on your own device and browser security.
Children's Privacy
Way2Sign is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
